Minimum Requirements to Teach
To teach, we require teachers to have knowledge of the particular subject
being taught. For many classes, this knowledge may be the result of work
experience, formal education or training, or self-directed knowledge.
Some classes have education requirements such as an associate's or bachelor's
degree, while others may require a license or certification such as an
LVN or RN or a licensed real estate salesperson. These requirements depend
on the specific class.
For all instructors, strong interpersonal skills, a good sense of humor,
flexibility, a desire to share ideas with people of all ages, sex and cultural
backgrounds, and good writing and speaking skills are the necessary combination
for a successful experience.
