Adult Learning Center
Literacy
services are provided to educationally disadvantaged adults beyond
compulsory school age in the Lee College service area through the
Adult Learning Center (ALC) as the result of a cooperative partnership
between Lee College and Harris County Department of Education.
Instruction is available in the following areas: ABE Adult Basic
Education/Literacy, ASE Adult Secondary Education (GED), English
as a Second Language (ESL), TANF Adult Education and Independent
Living Skills. Day or evening classes are available. All GED and
ESL students are required to attend student orientation prior to
registering for classes. Orientations are scheduled by appointment
only.
The ALC is located at 101 South Whiting on the main campus in Baytown.
Classes are held at this location as well as others in the area.
